In fall 2025, I created Night Air as part of the contemporary art triennial Bergen Assembly in Bergen, Norway.

Night Air was a radio art work broadcasting live from Bergen Kunsthall each night at 22.00 for the sixty evenings of the Bergen Assembly.

Each night a different person, almost all non-professional singers, sang the city of Bergen to sleep, their lullabies carried on AM, FM and shortwave signals. Their lullabies are in many different languages.

The complete collection of Night Air lullabies is presented for ten days, 19-29 March 2025, as Non-stop Lullabies here on Radio Multe.

Thank you to artist Michikazu Matsune who invited me to share the Night Air recordings as an accompaniment to his performance "Soft Collapse (Insomnia for Beginners)" at Tanzquartier, Vienna, Austria, 19-21 March 2026.

Michikazu Matsune is also organizing an afternoon symposium, "Beyond Sleep" by the Institute for Sleepless Nights, Saturday 21 March 2026 at Tanzquartier, where, among other things, we will discuss Night Air and Non-stop Lullabies.
